About
Click 4 Life is a teen driver safety project that has been undertaken by High School for Recording Arts students in St. Paul, Minnesota and Los Angeles, California and The Fo-Show with funding from State Farm Insurance. This multifaceted project features a CD entirely produced and recorded by HSRA/Studio 4 students, public presentations of driver safety information researched by the students, a Click4Life website, and weekly spots on “The Fo-Show,” which is a radio show produced and recorded by HSRA and other area students that airs on B96 every Sunday morning.
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for American teenagers. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than 5,600 teens were killed in motor vehicle accidents in 2005. In Minnesota alone, 62 young people were killed.
We at High School For Recording Arts (HSRA) and The Fo-Show are working to reduce these tragic numbers. We have heard the dire statistics and are now ready to spread the word to our peers all throughout the metropolitan area that seat belts save lives. But most importantly, we need our legislators to also hear this message and to do their part to promote safe driving and to protect teens’ lives. We will take on this challenge like we usually do here at HSRA – by empowering ourselves with information and creativity!
