Click 4 Life State Capitol Rally - Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CLICK 4 LIFE RALLY AT THE STATE CAPITOL STEPS
Minnesota teens take Primary Seat Belt initiative to state legislators.

St. Paul, MN – April 7, 2008 - 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
The Fo-Show, a weekly radio broadcast produced by high-school students on B96/FM, in conjunction with State Farm Insurance, is holding a rally on the capitol steps from noon to 2PM this Tuesday, April 8th. The rally is part of the Click 4 Life campaign, which was initiated earlier this year to promote safe teen driving and to build a teen movement to encourage state legislators to pass a primary seat belt law in Minnesota. There will be musical performances, guest speakers, and Click 4 Life promotional giveaways.

According to Ruby P, host of The Fo-Show and a High School for Recording Arts senior, “It’s time for teens to take charge of their lives and recognize that car crashes are the leading cause of death for teens. This rally will prove that we are serious about our lives and our future”.

Click 4 Life had its biggest campaign stop to date today. We visited White Bear Lake High School’s south campus. The students were very engaged and enthusiastic about the cause. They also gave many great interviews about driving safety and seat belt use that we will be sharing with you soon. There was a great buzz around the Click 4 Life CD, which made its public debut at this campaign stop. The school let us play the CD over their PA system during all four of their lunch periods, so all of the students got to hear every track. Some were surprised that the music they heard was written and recorded by high school students.

Click 4 Life would like to thank Principal Tim Wald and Assistant Principal
Brian Leonard for their help and support of the Click 4 Life Campaign.

Click 4 Life visits Jennings Community Learning Center

Today the Click 4 Life Campaign Team went to the Jennings Community Learning Center to talk to their students about the primary seat belt initiative. We were greeted by very friendly staff and we enjoyed talking about seat belt safety with the students. Some students were brave enough to share their thoughts and practices of seat belt safety with The Fo-Show’s own Marissa. Check out the pictures from the Click 4 Life campaign stop at Jennings Community Learning Center in Saint Paul, MN.
